Sunshine matt and faceted black crystal – this is how designer Ekaterina Gorbunova chose to incorporate the luxurious design of VALENCIA taps into her new Art Deco-style interior.
The apartment is located in a building along a historic street dating back to the early 20th century, when the world spoke the language of Art Deco aesthetics. The cultural and historical context of the location determined the style of the future interior.
It was important for the designer to preserve the spirit of the past while creating an ergonomic and multifunctional space that meets modern standards of comfort and quality of life.
Ekaterina Gorbunova conceived the city apartment as an oasis of calm, a place to relax from the fast pace of the big city and the seething streams of information. The design solution for the bathroom next to the master bedroom also follows this idea.
The room is bathed in light, with sunbeams glistening and enveloping everything in comfort. The atmosphere is characterized by harmony and tranquility. It is defined by soft beige tones with sunny golden accents, and the exquisite texture of natural stone and the furniture with precise geometric shapes underline the overall concept.
THE VALENCIA COLLECTION – FITTINGS FOR WASHBASIN, BATHTUB AND SHOWER – ALL FUNCTIONS IN A SINGLE FORM
The bathroom is divided into three functional areas, each with its own visual accent.
In the washbasin area, these are the bathroom furnishings, which are embedded in a golden portal made of stainless steel with a titanium nitride coating. The beige-colored double washbasin with a radial body and the mirror in a brass frame were custom-made by Mia Italia. A sophisticated element of the ensemble are the wall taps from the VALENCIA collection in “sunshine matt” finish with knurled handles and black crystal decor.
The center of the second area is formed by an oval bathtub made of cobalt-colored glass and a floor-mounted tap with hand shower in VALENCIA design. The deep look of the faceted black crystal in the VALENCIA handle harmonizes with the picturesque pattern of the onyx on the wall. The natural stone panel with its expressive texture is a visual accent in this part of the room and at the same time an element that connects all three parts of the bathroom in color to create a unified picture.
The third area of the room is a spacious shower, lined with natural beige marble with golden veins. On the opposite wall of the shower, Ekaterina Gorbunova built a functional niche with a bench. The designer highlighted this wall with a complex handmade mosaic, reminiscent of the painting technique of the Russian artist Vrubel.
